God fulfills the second half of his promise to Solomon. Solomon accumulates great wealth: chariots, horses, precious metals, and wood. The prosperous nation even exports horses. The people enjoy Solomon’s good fortune as precious metals and cedar become commonplace. It is interesting that the kingdom’s wealth almost becomes a curse later.
