C. Winter on Malta (28:1-10)

In Lystra, Paul was first thought to be a god and then stoned (14:8-20). Here he is first thought to deserve death and then proclaimed a god (vv.1-6). It is most interesting that in spite of their veneration for Paul and his healing ministry, Luke gives no indication that any on Malta became Christians (vv.7-10).
