D. Song of the 144,000 (14:1-5)

After the conflicts in heaven (ch. 12) and on earth (ch. 13), this section alternates between assurances for the faithful saints and anticipated judgments for followers of the Beast.

The 144,000 with the Lamb on Mount Zion recall the sealed saints of 7:1-8. They are faithful, pure victors who probably are martyrs. Vv.2-3 show their blessed attainment of victory in Christ.
