E. Exhortation for Archippus’s Ministry (4:17)

As mentioned earlier, Archippus seems to have been the pastor of the Colossian church. Perhaps the church met in his home. Paul speaks of a work or ministry that Archippus had received in the Lord (v.17). The reference may be to a specific task, or it may be a general description of his vocation. Whatever the case, the apostle exhorts his fellow soldier (Phm 1:2) to give attention to his work and see it to completion.
