E. Jehoshaphat Reigns Over Judah (22:41-50)

Jehoshaphat is remembered in 1Ki for two primary reasons. To begin with, he lived at peace with Israel (v.44) and in fact formed an alliance with Ahab (v.4). This, as has become clear, was a monumental accomplishment. Second, he furthered the religious reform begun by his father Asa (vv.43-46). Although more could have been done (v.43), Jehoshaphat receives high marks, having done what was right in the eyes of the Lord.
