G. Third Woe and Seventh Trumpet (11:14-19)

As in Daniel when the fourth world kingdom was followed by an everlasting kingdom from God (2:44-45; 7:27), so in Revelation the final time of stress climaxes in the advent of the kingdom of God after the judgment of the world. God’s reign is more enduring than any human rule. The final trumpet crescendos in a note of glorious proclamation of victory for the church and a woe for the earth dwellers. A persecuting kingdom gives way to the kingdom of our Lord.
