H. Summary (2:28)

The one who came as Bethlehem’s Babe will be the same one who will return as conquering Judge. The same truth that he brought at his first appearing will be the basis of judgment at the second. Those who remain in him may therefore live without fear or shame in anticipation of that final event. (Some commentators think this verse introduces a new section; here it is treated as a closing exhortation to the preceding section.)
