When Paul wrote Romans he was ready to go to Jerusalem with the fund he had collected for the poor in Jerusalem (15:25-26). Thus Romans must have been written at the end of his third missionary journey, early in a.d. 57 (Guthrie, 307).
Romans probably was written from Corinth and was delivered by Phoebe of nearby Cenchrea (16:1-2). Paul’s host at the time (16:23) was Gaius, who had been converted during Paul’s ministry in Corinth (1Co 1:14).
