IV. The Good Demetrius (V.12)

Demetrius is probably the bearer of the letter to Gaius. He stands in stark contrast to Diotrephes. He has a threefold witness to his goodness: his brethren all give him a good report, the Spirit of truth (the Holy Spirit) approves him, and John testifies on his behalf. He was surely a godly man.
