P. Jairus' Daughter and the Woman With a Flow of Blood (8:40-56)

Jesus responded to Jairus' faith in behalf of his daughter by bringing his daughter back to life. In healing the woman with a flow of blood, Jesus responded to the sick person’s own faith. His words to her, “Your faith has healed you” (v.48), can also be translated “Your faith has saved you.” In Greek they are the same words he spoke to the sinful woman (7:50). Healing as well as forgiveness was part of his saving work.
