V. Historicity

Acts is written in the general style of historiography prevalent in the first century (Conzlemann, xl; Bruce, 15; Aune, 77-111). Secular histories of the time varied in their historical reliability. Acts is highly reliable. The historical events, sociopolitical dynamics, cultural settings, legal structures, and religious practices that can be attested by external evidence consistently confirm the historical reliability of Acts (Bruce, 17).
