The Bible Gateway offers many languages and translations of the Bible in audio format. (See a complete list of available audio Bibles.) In order to listen to the Bible, you'll need to first install on your computer the appropriate audio player.

  • Most of our audio Bibles are available through a Flash audio player. The only special software you need to listen to these is the Flash Player plugin for your web browser. Flash is automatically installed in many web browsers, but if you need to install it manually, it can be found at the Flash website.
  • Some of our audio Bibles are available in Real Audio format. To listen to these, you'll need to install the free version of RealPlayer.

To listen to an audio Bible once you've got the proper player installed, select the version you want to listen to from the list of available audio Bibles, select a book and chapter, and press the Play Audio button. Alternatively, if you're reading a Bible passage on the Bible Gateway and want to hear it, click on the "Listen to this passage" icon directly beneath the passage lookup box. (Note that if there is no audio version available for the Bible you're reading, this icon will be grayed out.)

If you have further questions about using audio Bibles at the Bible Gateway, see the audio section of the Bible Gateway FAQ.
