CONANIAH kon’ ə nī’ ə. The name of two royal officers:
1. The chief officer and Levite who administered the collections under Hezekiah (2 Chron 31:12, 13). Some textual confusion about the name is represented by the Kethiv which reads, K.FWNAN:YFHW., and the Qēré which reads, כָּֽנַנְיָ֣הוּ, and read as Gr. ̓Ιεχονίας, G2651, (1 Esd 1:9, KJV), Jeconias.
2. A Chief of the Levites in the administration of Josiah (2 Chron 35:9).
