EGLAIM ĕg’ lĭ əm (אֶגְלַ֨יִמ׃֙, two drops). Town name. Not the same as En-eglaim.

A town on the border of Moab (Isa 15:8). Its site is uncertain. Eusebius mentions a place named Agallim, eight m S of Areopolis (Rabba), which would be along the northern border. L. Koehler identifies Eglaim with Khirbet el-Gilime, NE of er-Rabba (KB, p. 9). Y. Aharoni suggests Mazra’, an oasis on the shore of the Dead Sea NE of the Lisan peninsula (The Land of the Bible [1967], 32).
