Eliam

ELIAM ĭ lī’ əm (אֱלִיעָ֔ם, LXX ̓Ελιάβ, meaning God is kinsman). Two men in the OT possessed this name. 1. Father of Bathsheba, the wife of Uriah (2 Sam 11:3). He is called Ammiel which means the same, only the name’s components are reversed (1 Chron 3:5).

2. A son of Ahithophel of Gilo (2 Sam 23:34), and a member of the “Thirty” who were David’s supreme military council and commanders of the militia. This man is also called Ahijah the Pelonite (1 Chron 11:36). Ahijah means a brother of Jahweh.
