JACKAL’s WELL (עֵ֣ין הַתַּנִּ֔ין). KJV DRAGON’s WELL. A well or spring at Jerusalem, prob. in the Valley of Hinnom. Nehemiah says that he went out by night “by the Valley Gate to the Jackal’s Well and to the Dung Gate” to inspect the walls of Jerusalem that had been destroyed by fire (Neh 2:13). Its exact site is not known.
