JADON jā’ dŏn (יָדﯴנ׃֙). A Meronothite who, in company with the men of. Gibeon and of Mizpah, helped in rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem (Neh 3:7). Josephus (Jos. Antiq. VIII, ix.) gives the name Jadon to the man of God who went from Judah to Jeroboam to warn the king of his sin (1 Kings 13). Jewish tradition identifies the prophet from Judah with Iddo the seer (2 Chron 9:29).
