JATTIR jăt’ ər (יַתִּ֖יר). A Levitical city in the hill country of Judah (Josh 15:48; 21:14; 1 Chron 6:57). David sent spoil from Ziklag to it after his victory over the Amalekites (1 Sam 30:27). Its site is Khirbet ’Attir, c. thirteen m. SW of Hebron.
