Jehovah-Tsidkenu

JEHOVAH-TSIDKENU jĭ hō’ və sĭd’ kə nu (יְהוָ֥ה׃׀ צִדְקֵֽנוּ, Yahweh our righteousness). The name (KJV) is employed, by Jeremiah alone, in a twofold way. It is the designation of the future Davidic king, who will rule over restored Israel (Jer 23:6). Righteousness is a divine attribute of the Messiah in providing salvation. The implication appears to be that He is our imputed righteousness (2 Cor 5:21). In the second reference (Jer 33:16), the prophet is pointing to the capital of the king, which partakes of the nature of the righteous monarch.
