JORAM jôr’ əm (יﯴרָמ׃֙, Jehovah is high). JEHORAM, jĭ hôr em (1 Kings 22:50; 2 Kings 3:1). 1. Son of Tou, who was sent to congratulate David on his victory over Hadadezer king of Zobah (2 Sam 8:9-12); called Hadoram (1 Chron 18:10).

2. King of Judah, son of Jehoshaphat (1 Kings 22:50). His wife was Athaliah, daughter of Ahab and Jezebel (2 Kings 8:18).

3. King of Israel (northern kingdom) and son of Ahab (2 Kings 3:1). His reign ended with the revolt of Jehu, by whom he was slain.

4. A Levite (1 Chron 26:25).

5. A captain in the time of Josiah (1 Esdras 1:9); called Jozabad (2 Chron 35:9).
