13:13 Obed-edom. A Levite (15:18, 21, 24) who was blessed with many sons (26:4, 5) presumably because he cared properly for the ark. Chronicles often mentions numerous children as a sign of divine approval and blessing (14:3; 2 Chr. 11:18–23; 13:21).
