2:15 Just as Jesus noted the continuity of those who persecuted the prophets with those who persecuted Him (Matt. 23:29–32), so Paul (also Stephen, Acts 7:52) sees the same continuity extending to those Jews (with whom he formerly worked) who persecute Christ by opposing the gospel (Acts 9:4). Paul’s fullest elaboration of his approach to this problem of Jewish opposition to the gospel is found in Rom. 9–11.
