14:13 Jehoash . . . captured Amaziah. Jehoash probably brought Amaziah back to Samaria (v. 14). Amaziah was forced to stay there until the death of Jehoash (v. 17).

Ephraim Gate. This main gate was in the north wall (Neh. 8:16; 12:39).

Corner Gate. At the northwest angle of the wall (2 Chr. 26:9; Jer. 31:38; Zech. 14:10).
