14:15–17 The content of Paul’s sermon is similar to his later sermon at Athens (17:22–31). Both sermons were addressed to pagan crowds who would not understand quotations from and explanations of Old Testament Scriptures. Paul stressed that God’s creative and providential power extended everywhere. See “General Revelation” at Ps. 19:1.
