Deut 11:2

11:2 your children. Since the people had seen God’s wonderful deliverance (v. 8), they should therefore obey God’s commands all the more faithfully. In his mention of “children,” it does not seem that Moses distinguishes the adults over age forty in his audience, who had seen the Exodus, from the youths who had not. The younger generation also had seen God’s preserving care and discipline in the wilderness (vv. 5, 6). Probably, therefore, Moses is distinguishing the current generation to which he was speaking from their children yet to be born.
