Deut 30:1–10

30:1–10 Anticipating the real possibility of judgment and exile for Israel, Moses looks beyond the time of judgment to Israel’s future repentance, restoration, and divine blessing. Significantly, this future blessing will include deliverance from slavery to sin. Moses’ reference to the circumcision of the “heart” (v. 6; cf. 10:16) is foundational for the later prophetic expectation (Jer. 31:31–34; Ezek. 36:25–27), and finds fulfillment in the New Testament (Rom. 2:29).
