I am the Lord, your healer. God has the power (Deut. 32:39) and the mercy to heal (Ps. 103:3). He alone can heal in the peace of His salvation (2 Chr. 16:12; Is. 38:17). To the prayer of anguish (Jer. 17:14), God responds (Jer. 30:17; 33:6). Healing from the damage inflicted by sin and death will come through the Lord’s Anointed, by whose wounds we are healed (Is. 53:5; 61:1,2; Matt. 8:17).
