30:10 seers . . . prophets. The preaching of many prophets conformed to the expectations of the people (9:15; 28:7; 29:10; 44:25; 1 Kin. 22:8; Jer. 6:14; 14:13–16; 20:9, 10; 28:8, 9; Ezek. 13; Hos. 9:7–9; Amos 2:12; 7:12, 16; Mic. 2:6–11; 3:5, 11). Others, like Isaiah, spoke by inspiration of the Spirit and under compulsion of a divine vision.
