24:29–33 The deaths of Joshua and Eleazar mark the end of the period that has been the subject of this book. Their burials, along with the burial of the bones of Joseph, in the land that is now Israel’s possession symbolizes God’s faithful fulfillment of His promises to the patriarchs.
