I run to you for protection. Why do you turn me away? Why must enemies mistreat me and make me sad?

We have heard, O God, with our ears: our fathers have declared to us, The work, thou hast wrought in their days, and in the days of old.
God, you are my place of safety. Why have you turned me away? Why must I suffer this sadness that my enemies have brought me?
God, you are the safe place where I can hide. Why have you pushed me away? How much longer must I continue to weep, because my enemies do cruel things to me?
I know you are God, my stronghold. Why have you rejected me? Why must I go around mourning because of oppression by the enemy?
