⁹ But you will have a son who will be a man of peace^(A) and rest,^(B) and I will give him rest from all his enemies on every side. His name will be Solomon,^[a](C) and I will grant Israel peace and quiet^(D) during his reign.

²⁶ They will live there in safety^(A) and will build houses and plant^(B) vineyards; they will live in safety when I inflict punishment^(C) on all their neighbors who maligned them. Then they will know that I am the Lord their God.^(D)’”

²⁶ They will forget their shame and all the unfaithfulness they showed toward me when they lived in safety^(A) in their land with no one to make them afraid.^(B)
