30 Hezekiah sent word to all Israel and to Judah and also wrote letters to Ephraim and Manasseh to come to the house of the Lord at Jerusalem to celebrate the Passover Feast to the Lord God of Israel. ²For the king and his officials and all the assembly in Jerusalem had decided to celebrate the Passover in the ^[a]second month,^(A)

2 Chronicles 30:2 Passover was usually celebrated in the first month; however, there was an exception to the rule that allowed certain individuals to celebrate it in the second month. In this case the exception was extended to the entire population.
