¹¹ Now when David arose in the morning, the word of the Lord came to the prophet ^(A)Gad, David’s ^(B)seer, saying,

¹³ Yet the Lord testified against Israel and against Judah, by all of His ^(A)prophets, ^(B)every seer, saying, ^(C)“Turn from your evil ways, and keep My commandments and My statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by My servants the prophets.”

²⁸ And all that Samuel ^(A)the seer, Saul the son of Kish, Abner the son of Ner, and Joab the son of Zeruiah had dedicated, every dedicated thing, was under the hand of Shelomith and his brethren.

²⁹ Now the acts of King David, first and last, indeed they are written in the ^[a]book of Samuel the seer, in the book of Nathan the prophet, and in the book of Gad the seer,

Hanani’s Message to Asa

⁷ And at that time ^(A)Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said to him: ^(B)“Because you have relied on the king of Syria, and have not relied on the Lord your God, therefore the army of the king of Syria has escaped from your hand.

¹⁰ Then Asa was angry with the seer, and ^(A)put him in prison, for he was enraged at him because of this. And Asa oppressed some of the people at that time.

¹² Then Amaziah said to Amos:
