Ephesians 5:29-31

²⁹None of us hate our own bodies. We provide for them and take good care of them, just as Christ does for the church, ³⁰because we are each part of his body. ³¹^(A) As the Scriptures say, “A man leaves his father and mother to get married, and he becomes like one person with his wife.”

²⁹After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church— ³⁰for we are members of his body.^(A) ³¹“For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.”^[a]^(B)
