¹⁶ In the fourth generation they will return here, for the iniquity of the Amorites has not yet reached its full measure.”^[a](A)

¹⁵ Look, I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go. I will bring you back to this land,^(A) for I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.”

²¹ Then Israel said to Joseph, “Look, I am about to die, but God will be with you and will bring you back to the land of your fathers.^(A)

²⁴ Joseph said to his brothers, “I am about to die,^(A) but God will certainly come to your aid and bring you up from this land to the land He promised Abraham,^(B) Isaac,^(C) and Jacob.”^(D)

⁸ I have come down to rescue them from the power of the Egyptians and to bring them from that land to a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey^(A)—the territory of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites.^(B)
