²⁵ Very soon^(A) my anger against you will end
    and my wrath^(B) will be directed to their destruction.^(C)”

⁵ You, Lord God Almighty,
    you who are the God of Israel,^(A)
rouse yourself^(B) to punish all the nations;^(C)
    show no mercy to wicked traitors.^[a](D)

²⁴ Therefore the Lord, the Lord Almighty,
    the Mighty One^(A) of Israel, declares:
“Ah! I will vent my wrath on my foes
    and avenge^(B) myself on my enemies.^(C)

⁶ Wail,^(A) for the day^(B) of the Lord is near;
    it will come like destruction^(C) from the Almighty.^[a](D)

²³ “I will turn her into a place for owls^(A)
    and into swampland;
I will sweep her with the broom of destruction,^(B)”
    declares the Lord Almighty.^(C)
