3 Then when (A)Judas, who had betrayed Him, saw that He had been condemned, he felt remorse and returned (B)the thirty [a]pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, 4 saying, “I have sinned by betraying innocent blood.” But they said, “What is that to us? (C)You shall see to it yourself!” 5 And he threw the pieces of silver into (D)the temple sanctuary and left; and (E)he went away and hanged himself.

3 When Judas, who had betrayed him,(A) saw that Jesus was condemned, he was seized with remorse and returned the thirty pieces of silver(B) to the chief priests and the elders. 4 “I have sinned,” he said, “for I have betrayed innocent blood.”
“What is that to us?” they replied. “That’s your responsibility.”(C)
5 So Judas threw the money into the temple(D) and left. Then he went away and hanged himself.(E)
