²⁸Joshua son of Nun,^(A) who had been Moses’ aide^(B) since youth, spoke up and said, “Moses, my lord, stop them!”^(C)

²⁸And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Moses, one of his young men, answered and said, My lord Moses, forbid them.

³⁸But your assistant, Joshua^(A) son of Nun, will enter it. Encourage^(B) him, because he will lead^(C) Israel to inherit^(D) it.

³⁸But Joshua the son of Nun, which standeth before thee, he shall go in thither: encourage him: for he shall cause Israel to inherit it.
