Proverbs 29:24-26

Modern English Version

²⁴Whoever is partner with a thief hates his own soul;
he hears the oath but tells nothing.

²⁵The fear of man brings a snare,
but whoever puts his trust in the Lord will be safe.

²⁶Many seek the ruler’s favor,
but every man’s judgment comes from the Lord.

²⁴The accomplices of thieves are their own enemies;
