¹² For he who avenges blood^(A) remembers;
    he does not ignore the cries of the afflicted.^(B)

¹⁸ Look on my affliction^(A) and my distress^(B)
    and take away all my sins.^(C)

⁷ I will be glad and rejoice in your love,
    for you saw my affliction^(A)
    and knew the anguish^(B) of my soul.

²³ Awake,^(A) and rise^(B) to my defense!
    Contend^(C) for me, my God and Lord.

⁴ I have done no wrong,^(A) yet they are ready to attack me.^(B)
    Arise to help me; look on my plight!^(C)

¹⁴ Return to us, God Almighty!
    Look down from heaven and see!^(A)
Watch over this vine,

⁴¹ But he lifted the needy^(A) out of their affliction
