3 When he was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper, even as he sat at food, there came a woman having an alabaster jar of anointing oil called nard, which was pure and costly. And she broke the jar and poured it on his head. 4 And there were some who were displeased in themselves and said, Why this waste of oyntment? 5 For it could have been sold for more than three hundred denarii, and the money given to the poor. And they grudged against her.
