7 ئەوە بوو کە شووراکە بنیاد نراوە و دەرگاکانم دانا، دەرگاوان و گۆرانیبێژ و لێڤییەکان دانران. 2 فەرمانم کرد حەنانی برام و حەنەنیای سەرۆکی قەڵاکە سەرپەرشتی ئۆرشەلیم بکەن، چونکە پیاوێکی دەستپاک بوو، لەوانی دیکە زیاتر لە خودا دەترسا. 3 پێم گوتن: «هەتا خۆر گەرم نەبێت، نابێت دەروازەکانی ئۆرشەلیم بکرێنەوە. پێش ڕۆیشتنی دەرگاوانەکان دەبێ دەرگاکان دابخرێن و شمشیرەیان لێبدرێت. هەروەها هەندێک دانیشتووانی ئۆرشەلیم بکرێنە پاسەوان، هەندێکیان لە شوێنی پاسەوانی دیاریکراوی خۆیان و هەندێکیشیان بەرامبەری ماڵەکەی خۆیان.»
ئەوانەی لە ڕاپێچکراوی گەڕاونەتەوە
4 شارەکە بەرفراوان و گەورە بوو، گەلێکی کەمیش لەناویدا بوو، هێشتا ماڵەکان بنیاد نەنرابوون. 5 ئیتر خودا خستییە دڵمەوە کە پیاوماقوڵ و کاربەدەست و گەل کۆبکەمەوە بۆ تۆمارکردنی ڕەچەڵەکیان، جا تۆماری ڕەچەڵەکنامەی ئەوانەم دۆزییەوە کە یەکەم جار لە ڕاپێچکراوی گەڕابوونەوە، بینیم ئەمەی تێدا نووسراوە:
6 ئەمانەش خەڵکی هەرێمەکەن، ئەوانەی لە ڕاپێچکراوی گەڕانەوە، ئەوانەی نەبوخودنەسری پاشای بابل ڕاپێچی کردبوون، گەڕانەوە ئۆرشەلیم و یەهودا، هەریەکە بۆ شارۆچکەکەی خۆی. 7 ئەوانەی لەگەڵ زروبابل هاتنەوە، یەشوع، نەحەمیا، عەزەریا، ڕەعەمیا، نەحەمانی، مۆردەخای، بیلشان، میسپەرەت، بیگڤەی، نەحوم و بەعنا.
ژمارەی پیاوانی گەلی ئیسرائیل:
8 نەوەی پەرعۆش، دوو هەزار و سەد و حەفتا و دوو؛
9 نەوەی شەفەتیا، سێ سەد و حەفتا و دوو؛
10 نەوەی ئارەح، شەش سەد و پەنجا و دوو؛
11 نەوەی پەحەت‌مۆئاب لە نەوەی یێشوع و یۆئاب، دوو هەزار و هەشت سەد و هەژدە؛
12 نەوەی ئیلام، هەزار و دوو سەد و پەنجا و چوار؛
13 نەوەی زەتو، هەشت سەد و چل و پێنج؛
14 نەوەی زەکای، حەوت سەد و شەست؛
15 نەوەی بەنوی، شەش سەد و چل و هەشت؛
16 نەوەی بێڤەی، شەش سەد و بیست و هەشت؛
17 نەوەی عەزگاد، دوو هەزار و سێ سەد و بیست و دوو؛
18 نەوەی ئەدۆنیقام، شەش سەد و شەست و حەوت؛
19 نەوەی بیگڤەی، دوو هەزار و شەست و حەوت؛
20 نەوەی عادین، شەش سەد و پەنجا و پێنج؛
21 نەوەی ئاتێر لە حەزقیا، نەوەد و هەشت؛
22 نەوەی حاشوم، سێ سەد و بیست و هەشت؛
23 نەوەی بێسای، سێ سەد و بیست و چوار؛
24 نەوەی حاریف، سەد و دوازدە؛
25 نەوەی گبعۆن، نەوەد و پێنج.
26 پیاوانی بێت‌لەحم و نەتۆفا، سەد و هەشتا و هەشت؛
27 پیاوانی عەناتۆت، سەد و بیست و هەشت؛
28 پیاوانی بێت‌عەزماڤەت، چل و دوو؛
29 پیاوانی قیریەت یەعاریم، کەفیرا و بئێرۆت، حەوت سەد و چل و سێ؛
30 پیاوانی ڕامە و گەڤەع، شەش سەد و بیست و یەک؛
31 پیاوانی میخماس، سەد و بیست و دوو؛
32 پیاوانی بێت‌ئێل و عای، سەد و بیست و سێ؛
33 پیاوانی نەبۆکەی دیکە، پەنجا و دوو؛
34 پیاوانی ئیلامەکەی دیکە، هەزار و دوو سەد و پەنجا و چوار؛
35 پیاوانی حاریم، سێ سەد و بیست؛
36 پیاوانی ئەریحا، سێ سەد و چل و پێنج؛
37 پیاوانی لۆد، حادید و ئۆنۆ، حەوت سەد و بیست و یەک؛
38 پیاوانی سەنائا، سێ هەزار و نۆ سەد و سی.
39 کاهینەکان:
نەوەی یەدایا لە بنەماڵەی یێشوع، نۆ سەد و حەفتا و سێ؛
40 نەوەی ئیمێر، هەزار و پەنجا و دوو؛
41 نەوەی پەشحور، هەزار و دوو سەد و چل و حەوت؛
42 نەوەی حاریم، هەزار و حەڤدە.
43 لێڤییەکان:
نەوەی یێشوع لە نەوەی قەدمیێل، لە نەوەی هۆدەیڤاهو، حەفتا و چوار.
44 گۆرانیبێژەکان:
نەوەی ئاساف، سەد و چل و هەشت.
45 دەرگاوانەکان:
نەوەکانی
شەلوم، ئاتێر، تەلمۆن، عەقوڤ، حەتیتا و شۆڤای، سەد و سی و هەشت.
46 کۆیلە تەرخانکراوەکان:
نەوەکانی
چیحا، حەسوفا، تەباعۆت،
47 قێرۆس، سیعا، پادۆن،
48 لەڤانا، حەگابا، شەلمای،
49 حانان، گیدێل، گەحەر،
50 ڕەئایا، ڕەچین، نەقۆدا،
51 گەزام، عوزە، پاسێیەح،
52 بێسەی، مەعونیم، نەفوسیم،
53 بەقبوق، حەقوفا، حەرحور،
54 بەچلوت، مەحیدا، حەرشا،
55 بەرقۆس، سیسرا، تەمەح،
56 نەچیەح و حەتیفا.
57 نەوەی خزمەتکارەکانی سلێمان:
نەوەکانی
سۆتەی، سۆفەرەت، پەریدا،
58 یەعلا، دەرقۆن، گیدێل،
59 شەفەتیا، حەتیل، پۆخەرەت‌هەچەڤایم و ئامۆن.
60 سەرجەم کۆیلە تەرخانکراوەکان و نەوەکانی خزمەتکارانی سلێمان، سێ سەد و نەوەد و دوو بوون.
61 ئەمانەش ئەوانەن کە لە شارۆچکەکانی تێل‌مەلەح، تێل‌حەرشا، کەروڤ، ئەدۆن و ئیمێرەوە سەرکەوتن، بەڵام نەیانتوانی پێناسەی بنەماڵە و ڕەچەڵەکیان دیاری بکەن کە لە نەوەی ئیسرائیلن:
62 نەوەکانی
دەلایا و تۆڤییا و نەقۆدا، شەش سەد و چل و دوو.
63 لە کاهینەکانیش:
نەوەکانی
حۆڤەیا، هەقۆچ و بەرزلای، کە کچێکی بەرزیلەیی گلعادی هێنا و بە نازناوی ئەوانەوە ناونرا.
64 ئەمانە بەدوای ڕەچەڵەکنامەکانیاندا گەڕان، بەڵام نەدۆزرانەوە، لەبەر ئەوە لە کاهینیێتی قەدەغە کران. 65 پارێزگارەکە پێی گوتن، نابێت لە هەرەپیرۆزەکان بخۆن هەتا ئەو کاتەی کاهینێک بۆ ئوریم و تومیم[a] دادەنرێت.
66 هەموو کۆمەڵەکە پێکەوە چل و دوو هەزار و سێ سەد و شەست کەس بوون، 67 جگە لە خزمەتکار و کارەکەرەکانیان کە حەوت هەزار و سێ سەد و سی و حەوت کەس بوون، هەروەها دوو سەد و چل و پێنج گۆرانیبێژی پیاو و ژنیان هەبوو. 68 حەوت سەد و سی و شەش ئەسپ[b]، دوو سەد و چل و پێنج هێستر، 69 چوار سەد و سی و پێنج وشتر، شەش هەزار و حەوت سەد و بیست گوێدرێژ.
70 هەندێک لە گەورەی بنەماڵەکان بەخشینیان بۆ کارەکە پێشکەش کرد، پارێزگارەکە هەزار درهەمی[c] زێڕی بە گەنجینەی بەڕێوەبردنی کارەکە بەخشی لەگەڵ پەنجا تاس[d] و سی و پێنج کراس بۆ کاهینەکان. 71 هەندێکیش لە گەورەی بنەماڵەکان بەخشینیان دایە گەنجینەی بەڕێوەبردنی کارەکە، بیست هەزار درهەمی زێڕ و دوو هەزار و دوو سەد[e] مەنای زیو. 72 ئەوەی پاشماوەی گەل بەخشییان، بیست هەزار درهەمی زێڕ، دوو هەزار مەنای زیو، لەگەڵ شەست و حەوت کراس بۆ کاهینەکان.
73 کاهین و لێڤی و گۆرانیبێژ و دەرگاوان و کۆیلە تەرخانکراوەکان، لەگەڵ هەندێک کەسانی دیکە، لە شارۆچکەکانی خۆیاندا نیشتەجێ بوون، پاشماوەی ئیسرائیلییەکانیش لە شارۆچکەکانیان نیشتەجێ بوون.
عەزرا تەورات دەخوێنێتەوە
کاتێک مانگی حەوت هات، نەوەی ئیسرائیل لە شارۆچکەکانی خۆیان بوون.

7 After the wall had been rebuilt and I had set the doors in place, the gatekeepers,(A) the musicians(B) and the Levites(C) were appointed. 2 I put in charge of Jerusalem my brother Hanani,(D) along with Hananiah(E) the commander of the citadel,(F) because he was a man of integrity and feared(G) God more than most people do. 3 I said to them, “The gates of Jerusalem are not to be opened until the sun is hot. While the gatekeepers are still on duty, have them shut the doors and bar them. Also appoint residents of Jerusalem as guards, some at their posts and some near their own houses.”

4 Now the city was large and spacious, but there were few people in it,(I) and the houses had not yet been rebuilt. 5 So my God put it into my heart to assemble the nobles, the officials and the common people for registration by families. I found the genealogical record of those who had been the first to return. This is what I found written there:
6 These are the people of the province who came up from the captivity of the exiles(J) whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had taken captive (they returned to Jerusalem and Judah, each to his own town, 7 in company with Zerubbabel,(K) Joshua, Nehemiah, Azariah, Raamiah, Nahamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispereth, Bigvai, Nehum and Baanah):

64 These searched for their family records, but they could not find them and so were excluded from the priesthood as unclean. 65 The governor, therefore, ordered them not to eat any of the most sacred food until there should be a priest ministering with the Urim and Thummim.(X)
66 The whole company numbered 42,360, 67 besides their 7,337 male and female slaves; and they also had 245 male and female singers. 68 There were 736 horses, 245 mules,[a] 69 435 camels and 6,720 donkeys.
70 Some of the heads of the families contributed to the work. The governor gave to the treasury 1,000 darics[b] of gold, 50 bowls and 530 garments for priests. 71 Some of the heads of the families(Y) gave to the treasury for the work 20,000 darics[c] of gold and 2,200 minas[d] of silver. 72 The total given by the rest of the people was 20,000 darics of gold, 2,000 minas[e] of silver and 67 garments for priests.(Z)
73 The priests, the Levites, the gatekeepers, the musicians and the temple servants,(AA) along with certain of the people and the rest of the Israelites, settled in their own towns.(AB)
