20 Abishai, Joab’s brother, was commander of The Thirty. He had gained his place among The Thirty by killing 300 men at one time with his spear. 21 He was the chief and the most famous of The Thirty, but he was not as great as The Three.
22 Benaiah, whose father was a mighty warrior from Kabzeel, killed the two famous giants[a] from Moab. He also killed a lion in a slippery pit when there was snow on the ground.

New International Version
20 Abishai(A) the brother of Joab was chief of the Three. He raised his spear against three hundred men, whom he killed, and so he became as famous as the Three. 21 He was doubly honored above the Three and became their commander, even though he was not included among them.
22 Benaiah son of Jehoiada, a valiant fighter from Kabzeel,(B) performed great exploits. He struck down Moab’s two mightiest warriors. He also went down into a pit on a snowy day and killed a lion.(C)
