The Voice
12 The Philistines abandoned their gods there, so David ordered the idols to be burned.
13 The Philistines raided the valley again. 14 Again David asked for God’s counsel.
Eternal One: This time do not attack them directly. Circle behind their forces and attack from their rear coming out from the balsam trees.

12 The Philistines had abandoned their gods there, and David gave orders to burn(A) them in the fire.(B)
13 Once more the Philistines raided the valley;(C) 14 so David inquired of God again, and God answered him, “Do not go directly after them, but circle around them and attack them in front of the poplar trees.
