1 Chronicles 29:15-17
English Standard Version Anglicised
15 (A)For we are strangers before you and sojourners, as all our fathers were. Our days on the earth are (B)like a shadow, and there is no abiding.[a] 16 O Lord our God, all this abundance that we have provided for building you a house for your holy name comes from your hand and is all your own. 17 I know, my God, (C)that you test the heart and (D)have pleasure in uprightness. In the uprightness of my heart I have freely offered all these things, and now I have seen your people, who are present here, offering freely and joyously to you.

1 Chronicles 29:15-17
New International Version
15 We are foreigners and strangers(A) in your sight, as were all our ancestors. Our days on earth are like a shadow,(B) without hope. 16 Lord our God, all this abundance that we have provided for building you a temple for your Holy Name comes from your hand, and all of it belongs to you. 17 I know, my God, that you test the heart(C) and are pleased with integrity. All these things I have given willingly and with honest intent. And now I have seen with joy how willingly your people who are here have given to you.(D)
