27 The time that he reigned over Israel was forty years; he reigned seven years in Hebron and thirty-three years in Jerusalem.

27 He ruled over Israel forty years—seven in Hebron(A) and thirty-three in Jerusalem.(B) 28 He died(C) at a good old age, having enjoyed long life, wealth and honor. His son Solomon succeeded him as king.(D)
