27 He was king over Israel for forty years: he was king seven years in Hebron and thirty-three years in Jerusalem.(A) 28 He died at a ripe old age, rich in years and wealth and glory, and his son Solomon succeeded him as king.(B)
29 Now the deeds of King David, first and last, are recorded in the history of Samuel the seer, the history of Nathan the prophet, and the history of Gad the seer,(C)

27 He ruled over Israel forty years—seven in Hebron(A) and thirty-three in Jerusalem.(B) 28 He died(C) at a good old age, having enjoyed long life, wealth and honor. His son Solomon succeeded him as king.(D)
29 As for the events of King David’s reign, from beginning to end, they are written in the records of Samuel the seer,(E) the records of Nathan(F) the prophet and the records of Gad(G) the seer,
