16 and [a]Obadiah the son of [b]Shemaiah, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun, and Berechiah the son of Asa, the son of Elkanah, that dwelt in the villages of the Netophathites.
17 And the porters: Shallum, and Akkub, and Talmon, and Ahiman, and their brethren (Shallum was the chief), 18 who hitherto waited in the king’s gate eastward: they were the porters for the camp of the children of Levi.

17 The gatekeepers:(B)
Shallum, Akkub, Talmon, Ahiman and their fellow Levites, Shallum their chief 18 being stationed at the King’s Gate(C) on the east, up to the present time. These were the gatekeepers belonging to the camp of the Levites.
