25 Those of their family in other towns were to come in every seven days from time to time to be with them. 26 For the four head men who were gate-keepers were Levites and were in a place of trust. They watched over the rooms and the riches in the house of God. 27 They stayed during the night around the house of God. For their duty was to watch. And they were to open the house every morning.

25 Their fellow Levites in their villages had to come from time to time and share their duties for seven-day(A) periods. 26 But the four principal gatekeepers, who were Levites, were entrusted with the responsibility for the rooms and treasuries(B) in the house of God. 27 They would spend the night stationed around the house of God,(C) because they had to guard it; and they had charge of the key(D) for opening it each morning.
