1 Corinthians 10:6-8

6 Now these things became examples for us, so that we will not desire(A) evil things as they did.[a](B) 7 Don’t become idolaters(C) as some of them were; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and got up to play.[b](D)[c] 8 Let us not commit sexual immorality(E) as some of them did,[d] and in a single day 23,000 people fell dead.(F)

7 Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
